STATE OF THE ART 7 - Immunosuppression: Is the pipeline empty?
taking place on Wednesday, 16 SEPTEMBER, 09:10 - 09:40
introduced by Maarten Naesens, member of our scientific committee
The number of immunosuppressive compounds currently being evaluated for routine use in organ transplantation is declining. In the past decade, several very promising compounds failed to enter the market. In State of the Art 7, we discuss the reasons behind this evolution.
Moreover, novel tools for improving outcome after organ transplantation will be discussed, along with innovative methods to repurpose old drugs in new indications. At the ESOT congress in Brussels, we will prove that the pipeline is not empty!
