Make sure you don’t miss this highly interactive session!

Undine Gerlach, Chair of the YPT Committee invites you to attend the

taking place on Monday, 14 September, 13:00 - 14:00

'Future Leaders in Transplantation' is a highly interactive session in the setting of a 'TV talkshow'.

We have selected 4 young discussants to represent transplant societies at National and Regional and International level, to bring different views from Europe and outside Europe: they are Burcin Ekser (Vanguard Group of the ILTS), Michael Englesbe (Vanguard Group AST), Antje Habicht (ESOT) and Bynvant Sandhu (British Transplantation Society).

There will be no presentations, instead the 4 discussants are invited to give their opinion, share their experience and interact with the audience for a broader debate on topics like:

1) Should I stay or should I go?
Is it more useful to stay in one institution throughout your education, or is it more advisable to complete fellowships abroad and change the institution to gain a broader experience?

2) To specialize or not to specialize:
Recognized specializations in transplant surgery and medicine are not available in all countries. Should we narrow our education down to become a specialist in transplantation or is a broader education in general surgery/hepatology/nephrology the better bet?

Make sure you don’t miss this session, we are looking forward to a lively discussion.
